1. Who we are
TlumAI (https://tlumai.com) is an AI tool platform for text generation and photo processing. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
2. Data we collect
Automatically collected:
- Anonymous device identifier (stored in
localStorage) — used to enforce free generation limits without requiring an account. - IP address hash (SHA-256, not the raw IP) — used only for rate limiting (max 20 requests/hour).
- Usage analytics via PostHog (page views, tool usage events) — anonymized where possible.
When you register:
- Email address (via Supabase Auth).
- Credit balance and generation history.
When you use photo tools:
- Uploaded images are sent to our processing API and to third-party AI providers (e.g. remove.bg) solely to complete your request.
- Input images are deleted from our servers within 24 hours of processing.
- Result images are accessible via a time-limited signed URL and deleted automatically.
- We do not use your photos to train AI models.
3. Third-party services
- OpenRouter / OpenAI — processes text generation prompts. Your input text is sent to generate a response.
- remove.bg — processes background removal requests.
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting (EU/US servers).
- PostHog — product analytics (EU server option selected).
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on form submissions.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Cookies and localStorage
We use cookies for authentication (Supabase session) and a single localStorage key (tlum_anon_id) to track anonymous free usage. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
5. Data retention
- Anonymous identifiers: retained for 90 days of inactivity, then deleted.
- Uploaded photos: deleted within 24 hours.
- Account data: retained while your account exists. You can request deletion by emailing us.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support@tlumai.com.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
